K.I.S.

Keep. It. Simple.
If its one thing I have learned over the past 10 years, it is to keep my art simple. Simplicity allows for ample time to explore, transform, and strengthen artistic choices. I hope to use the advantages of simplicity to develop the foundation of the Havenworth project. In my experience, simple yet effective theatrical lighting designs have involved general coverage of the stage (front light, side light, down light), a basic color palette (white, red, blue), and a few interesting positions (floor light, back light, hard edges). Here are a series of examples.
