I saw a production last night called
"Cuts". It was a production Directed and compiled by a Senior at Westmont, Casey Caldwell...A "docu-comedy" about hair. At 2 hours Casey would probably agree that it was a little longer than desired, but nobody could make an argument against the quality of the production. This show was fantastic...hilarious, sad, sobering, loud, quiet, silly, profound, intriguing, and all around a great experiment in theatrical practices from direction, to staging and lighting, to the acting. Bravo Casey! I hope you keep exploring these common features of life in ways that speak not only to a variety of audiences and cultures, but to the mundane things in our lives. That when viewed through your eyes become neither common nor trivial, but familiar and personal.
Thank you and great work!
