Interviews
It seems this is the season for interviews both for grad students and college professors alike. Yesterday we interviewed a candidate for the position of technical director and scenographer at Westmont College. When all was said and done, he had presented his materials in a professional manner, but was exhausted from having to be on point for nearly 48 hours straight. I will have this opportunity next week, as I plan on traveling to Massachusetts to interview for grad school in lighting design. I am excited yet nervous. I will interview for Grad school tomorrow evening in LA for the lighting design program at University of Washington. Following shortly after that I will interview on Tuesday evening for a position as technical director at California Lutheran University. Needless to say, two short interviews and one long 5 day interview will stretch my skills at communication and presentation. I think this is an important experience to have as I begin to develop my ideas for the Havenworth project, since holding interviews and being interviewed will, I hope, be an important part of the growth of this performing arts center. More to come as the interviews continue...
