This is the first in my series of ?oudin poems. I wrote it back in March of 2001.
The sun is finally here.
It took some time in coming.
For what reason I know not;
Just that it never came.
But now the sun-light has relinquished its fear
Of the power of thunder and lightning.
Standing up for what it once believed and fought.
Casting off its burden of shame.
The time for joy and feasting is near.
When young and old can go running
Through the fields of Ol' Mr. Rogenougtht
Shouting out God's name.
There is no other time so dear
As the present that is spent sharing and caring.
The sun has helped me find what I sought
Love for that Ol' spring time game.
